Real Weddings || Mary & Jeff's Heartwarming November Wedding
Although is was a cold and wet November day here in Michigan, Mary and Jeff's wedding day radiated warmth. Mary was a vision with her dark hair and classic lace gown. The girls wore long burgundy dresses and the men were handsome in classic black tuxes. Mary chose flowers in shades of purple, burgundy and peach to compliment the autumn season. From beginning to end, Mary & Jeff's wedding day was timeless, lovely and truly filled with love, right down to the double rainbow that appeared right before their reception.
What can I say, I am a romantic at heart. I always tear up when I deliver my bride's bouquets and see these lovely ladies in their gowns for the first time. Mary and Jeff's wedding was no exception. These two lovebirds know exactly what true love is and being married was the most important event of the day for them. Nothing else mattered. When Jeff first walked into the church his eyes welled up with tears of joy, happiness and (I think) a little bit of nervousness. His grin could not be contained (although Jeffrey always has a smile that is truly contagious and genuine). When I delivered Mary's bouquet to the bridal room she was calm and beautiful. She loved her bouquet and everyone in the room agreed that she was perfection. Except for one detail; Mary didn't have her veil. The veil was accidentally left behind at her mom and dad's home, where Mary and her bridesmaids got dressed and celebrated together before heading to the church. Mary insisted that she did not need her veil to get married and that it was really no big deal!! Can you even believe it?? All Mary wanted was to meet her sweet groom at the alter and to be married! Fortunately, Mary's parents did not live too far from the church and a neighbor quickly retrieved the veil and brought it back to the church just in time for the ceremony to begin. Hallelujah!
Thank you, Mary & Jeff, for being the sweet, kind souls that you are and I truly wish you a lifetime of happiness and blessings together.
